This is our 73rd Season and we are delighted to announce three concerts as follows:

1. On Friday 19th October 2018 at 7.30 pm at the Trinity Methodist Church, Church Terrace, Wisbech, Trio Volant will play. The trio comprises Beatrice Hubble, oboe, Tom Evans, flute and Richard Beards, bassoon. The musicians are winners of the Dorothy Parkinson Award for Young British Ensembles, and graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music.

Trio Volant will play works by Rossini, Beethoven, Mozart, Joseph Canteloube, Celia McDowall and Johann Strause 11.

2. On Friday 8th February 2019 at 7.30 pm at the Russell Hall, Wisbech Grammar School, Tim Hurst-Brown, baritone, and Peter Hewitt, piano will star in their show entitled "The Story of Gilbert and Sullivan."

The Story of Gilbert and Sullivan is a light-hearted evening of stories, songs, poems and music centred on the immortal Savoy Operas.

3. Friday 29th March 2019 at 7.30 pm at the Russell Hall, Wisbech Grammar School, Alex Tsvetkov (formally playing as Alex Florian) will give a piano recital. Alex graduated from the Music Academy in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He has given many concerts as soloist and accompanist, including several very successful concerts in Wisbech.

In previous concerts Alex has excelled in playing works by Liszt, Chopin, Mozart and Beethoven. His programme for this concert has yet to be finalised but promises to be diverse and may include music by Chinese and Bulgarian composers.
